Fees

We are a private medical practice and therefore do not bulk bill. Full payment of professional fees is expected at the time of your consultation/procedure.

For your convenience, payment can be made via cash, cheque, Visa or Master Card.

Our receptionists are able to provide information regarding consultation fees.

Medicare Rebates

We can submit the Medicare claim online on your behalf at the time of payment. A valid referral from your doctor is required to obtain a Medicare rebate.

You will need to bring your referral with you to your appointment to be eligible for a Medicare rebate. Referrals from your GP are generally valid for a period of 12 months from your first visit, while referrals from Specialists are valid for 3 months only.

If you have a lot of medical expenses in a year, you may receive up to 80 percent back from Medicare with the Medicare Safety Net.

Concessions

Lower rates are available for patients with a pension card.

DVA Gold Card holders are entitled to treatment with no gap fees and have their account paid electronically and therefore will not have any out of pocket expenses.

Additional Costs

Additional costs may arise if other services are performed during the consultation (such as a skin biopsy or freezing of sun spots). The cost of these procedures will be added to the consult fee and will be partially covered by Medicare.

Private Health Insurance

Australian private health insurances usually don’t cover consulting fees at private specialist rooms.

Information

Appointments

Dr Sagi is fully booked for few months in advance. We encourage you to book your follow up appointment at the end of your consultation to ensure you are reviewed within the time frame advised by your provider.

SMS reminders are sent prior to your appointment. Please respond YES or NO to the reminders. 

Cancellations

We have an extensive list of patients waiting to be seen by our dermatologist and in consideration for other patients who may have more urgent need, if you wish to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we kindly request that you provide us with at least 24 hours’ notice in advance. 

Prescriptions

Doctor Sagi will only issue repeat prescriptions without consultation if you have been seen in the practice within the last 12 months; however there are some exceptions where more frequent consultations are required.
