Patch Testing

At Hunter Dermatology we offer patch testing to investigate allergic contact dermatitis. This dermatitis can be induced by allergens that the patient is exposed to for many years such as fragrances and preservatives in soaps, shampoos and washing liquids. In this test, we apply a patch with multiple allergens to your back. After two and four days, we will read the patch test and look for any reaction. We will interpret the results and advise you on which ingredients and chemicals to avoid in your daily life.
